My Mother's Castle
...or joyful Provence!
In regards to
They say the apple never falls far from the tree...
After twenty years spent managing her communication and influence agency specializing in luxury, Sophie Douzal is in turn embarking on a project that is hers and that resembles her in every way. My Mother's Castle is a parallel adventure and not the end of an epic. With the Douzal agency, Sophie sharpened her eye while accompanying many clients on the path to success. Of luxury, she knows the actors, the souls, the evolutions and the cogs, enough to write a beautiful story too.
The Château de Ma Mère embodies this Provençal way of life that the world envies us. Inspired by Provençal textile archive documents from the 17th century, Sophie Douzal is composing a brand new score on the lands of the song of the cicadas and the long time. Her summer wardrobe mixes the most sublime cottons and silks that are worked in the traditional way by the best craftsmen. In itself, this sunny wardrobe sums up the most beautiful days of summer. Punctuated with lemon yellow, lavender blue or sage green prints, the cotton veil dresses up any swimsuit to escape to the market or take a nap in the shade of a pine tree. At lunchtime, on the table the laundry and the crockery respond to each other without following each other in a joyful and gourmet visual cacophony. Finally, for the house, the designer summons the imagination of our childhood when well-made linen smelled divinely good. Thus, on ornaments of sheets in the colors of Provence dance flowers that one would believe to breathe.
“I wanted to draw on the essentials to imagine an art of living that distills a touch of Provence to the four corners of the world. »
